"New Year. Same Mission. Same Goals." - Usain Bolt
Now let me be the first to admit. When it comes to all the hype surrounding new years resolutions, I'm not always the most positive of fellows.
My automatic way of being, includes the rolling of the eyes, the knowing head nod, and that gremlin voice in my head screeching, "Bullshitter!".
Because lets face it, if commercial gyms are anything to go by, come February and March, most peoples initial burst of enthusiasm would have imploded, leaving nothing but frustration, broken dreams, unfulfilled promises, guilt, shame and the eternal chant of the many who have fallen, "Maybe next year". Yeah. Maybe.
I know. I know. This doesn't fit into my positive mental attitude psychology. I can't help it. It's automatic. But I do have a choice whether I listen to it or not. A few years back I finally realised what exactly it was that pissed me off about new years resolutions, and since then I don't do them.
I'm sure in the past you may have had the best laid plans (as if just having a great plan will make it happen - you and I both know the truth about that one).
You've listened to the right motivational tapes, you've bought all the top notch training gear. Got yourself a dedicated gym buddy. And lets not forget a 12 month membership to your local gym, crossfit box or bodybuilding mecca.
You've been here before. Maybe even a year ago. Bursting with enthusiasm then 3 - 4 months in, your motivation all dried up, your dream dies a sorry death. But it doesn't have to be that way. There are 2 key things that you probably didn't even realise, that when you put in place can make the world of difference. What are they?
In the latest 20 minute Cj Sends Word podcast which you can download >>here<< I cover this in depth and more. If you want to make 2015 a year where your goals stick, you definitely want to listen to it.
