How strong are you?
I mean really. How do you know? Do you measure your strength by just how much iron you can lift? Ok, that may be valid, but how strong are you mentally?
And what are the standards you have set yourself? When was the last time you were truly tested outside of the gym?
Now let me come at it from a different angle, how healthy are your internal organs? Can you truly consider yourself strong and powerful if you are riddled with injury and disease? No I don't think so.
It may be presentable strength, but it's certainly not the kind of rugged enduring strength that is built to last. That kind of presentable strength will fade quicker than a pair of cheap denim jeans on a hot wash.
What I'm leading to is this, real strength. Strength of body, strength of mind, strength of character is an inside job. And it's something that you can chose to culitvate over time. You can't cheat it. There are no short cuts.
But why am I telling you this? Because I want you to fully understand what seperates this blog from all the other ordinary run of the mill strength blogs out there.
This blog is dedicated to sharing powerful information and ideas that matter. The kind that will give you the resources to become stronger, physically, mentally, emotionally and yep, even spiritually (I know that some of you freaked out at that word, but stick with me).
Now you may be wondering where am I coming from with this? You can read more about my story >>here<< and hopefully that will shed some light. But the simple truth is, getting stronger and better as an athlete and human being is what I am passionate about, and if you're reading this perhaps developing real strength, and being the best possible person that you can be, is something that speaks to you too. But I could be wrong about you.
In the coming weeks I will be posting about the 9 lifts you should be doing (but only if you want to get freakishly strong that is) and simple practical tips on uprading your mental game not just in the gym or chosen sport, but in each area of your life. Sound good?
And if you have any questions, or there is something you'd like me to cover in this strength blog then do get in touch. You can drop me a message >>here<<
