I'm walking down a busy street in Kensal Green, North London.
The weather is a little bit confused right now. It's still humid with zero breeze, there is the odd burst of rain followed by a rather timid sun peaking out from behind the clouds.
But to be fair it's 2020, this is to be expected.
I'm on my way to Paradise Plant Based (Vegan Cafe that's got 4.7 star reviews), here I will meet Francesca Blechner, author of Self-Care For Life in The City, published by Conscious Dreams Publishing.
I've known Fran for well over ten years now. I'm not sure how we first met, I think it was on Steve Cotters IKFF Kettlebell Instructor course that I was assisting on. Fran is not your typical trainer, I've watched her evolve into the outstanding Wholistic Coach that she is. I've even had Transformation Breathe Work sessions with her.
When Fran told me that she had released her book, I knew I just had to get my hands on a copy, and find out what inspired her to write it - check out the clip below.
As of the time of writing this I am two chapters deep, and absolutely loving it. It came at the perfect time for me, as since #Lockdown2020
I had been re-evevaluating my values and top priorities, making sure that my actions, my relationships and career were in alignment. So when I got to that section in the book, it was powerful to sit down and take the time to really delve into it.
I consciously began to integrate it, so that I continued to live spirit, in a way that lights me up from the inside and allowed me to express my purpose fully. Not to mention all the golden nuggets of information about Wholistic Health that Fran sprinkles liberally through out the book.
So what about the food down at Paradise Plant Based? Yes, I]ll definitely be going back there to devour their menu. I had the gourmet mac n cheese and a stunning smoothie (who's name I can't remember) but as you can see from the images, the food is a little bit special.
But back to the book, if you want top tips for nourishing your mind, body and soul in a fast-paced world, then you'll certainly want to get your hands on a copy of this insightful book.
