Quit trying to be great.
That great idea you're waiting to start.
The grand project you wanted to begin.
That 5 day a week gym program you set as a goal
(and struggle to maintain)....
The miraculous diet that restricts your eating that you managed for 30 days and then stopped.
Stop trying to be great.
Start working on being that bit better today than you were yesterday.
Work on the small things.
Free yourself up from the pressure of that grand idea that is weighing you down.
May seem insignificant.
Not that exciting.
No fan fare.
Just ordinary action taken consistently over time.
This is how roads are built.
Mountains are climbed.
Races are won.
How victories happen.
Inch by inch.
Minute by minute.
Piece by piece.
I hope you found that useful.
Why did I write this? Well, I was coaching on a program last week and the amount of participants that were crippled by fear when setting out their goals and what they want in life was remarkable.
It was a lot.
So we digged a little deeper.
Got to the core of what they really wanted, and what was stopping them. Now this method is not for everybody. But let me tell you, when they allowed themselves to face the shadows, we had some amazing breakthroughs.
Focus and amplify your strengths and remember to celebrate your successes.
(No matter how big or small).
